About Paneer Makhamli Recipe

This aromatic subzi gets its green colour and fresh flavour from a marinade of coriander,mint and grenn chillies.The addition of cashews and curds to the marinade imparts a rich flavour and creamy texture to the paneer.

Paneer Makhamli

Ingredients to make Paneer Makhamli

  • paneer cubes. 2 1/2 cup
  • oil 1Tbsp
  • onions chopped 1Cup
  • Milk 1/2 Cup
  • Garam masala 1Tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Ground paste ingredients:-
  • Chopped coriander 2 cups
  • Chopped mint 1/2 Cup
  • ginger 1/2"(inches)
  • cashew 1/4 Cup
  • curd 1/4 Cup
  • garlic 2 cloves
  • lemon juice 1Tbsp
  • onion rings for garnishing
  • salt to taste

How to make Paneer Makhamli

  1. In a mixer jar add all the ingredients mentioned under GROUND PASTE and blend into smooth paste.
  2. Take out the paste in a big bowl add paneer cubes to the marinade .
  3. Mix gently,cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a non -stick pan.
  5. Add chopped onions and saute until it turn translucent in color.
  6. Add the marinated paneer, milk ,garam masala and little salt(we already add salt in the marinade so add less).
  7. Mix gently and cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Stir occasionally.
  9. Garnish with onion rings and serve hot with naan or chapati.

My Tip:

While adding salt second time add less,later chk and if required add accordingly.
