Yummy spicy bhaji with many vegetables, to be served with some toasted pav or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Boiled 3-4 potatoes
  2. 1 green capsicum
  3. 4 onions [chopped]
  4. 4 big tomatoes [chopped]
  5. peas - 1/4 th cup
  6. coriander leaves [handful]
  7. salt
  8. pao bhaji masala [ 2 tbsp]
  9. turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  10. ( add red chilly powder only if you like very spicy) - 1 tsp
  11. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  12. oil
  13. butter
  14. 1 lemon


  1. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker and mash them.
  2. In fry pan, put 2 table spoon oil, and add chopped onions.
  3. When onions are little golden brown, then add haldi, dhaniya powder, salt and bhaji masala. Mix it and add capsicum and chopped tomatoes.
  4. Cover the fry pan and and wait for 5 mins. Now add mashed potatoes, peas and 1 glass of water.
  5. Again cover the lid of pan and let it boil for 10 mins. And keep the flame on sim.
  6. Check the bhaji as it should be thick gravy. Then add chopped fresh coriander leaves and 1 lemon.
  7. Mix it , put butter and serve it hot with pao.
