About Punjabi motti boondi(moongra) in gravy Recipe

This is a traditional punjabi dish made with thick boondi, to be served with some roti or pulao.

Punjabi motti boondi(moongra) in gravy

Ingredients to make Punjabi motti boondi(moongra) in gravy

  • 1 cup savoury readymade boondi
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 green chilli
  • salt
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4tsp red chilli
  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4tsp garam masala

How to make Punjabi motti boondi(moongra) in gravy

  1. Grind onion, tomatoes and green chillies together.
  2. Heat oil
  3. Add cumin seeds.
  4. Add the ground paste and saute for few minutes.
  5. Add salt and the powdered spices.
  6. Cook it.
  7. Add 2 glass water.
  8. Boil till it forms a thick gravy.
  9. Switch off the gas, add the boondi, cover this for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve with chapati.

My Tip:

Add boondi while serving.
