About Kanda bhaji Recipe

Everyone loves bahji or pakodas with evening tea. This is a quick recipe of how I make these at home.

Kanda bhaji

Ingredients to make Kanda bhaji

  • besan - 1 cup
  • 2 onions
  • coriander leaves [handful]
  • Ajwain [carom seeds] - 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • salt

How to make Kanda bhaji

  1. Slice the onions. Add these to the besan in a mixing bowl.
  2. Now mix all the spices and the coriander leaves. Add little water and make a thick batter.
  3. Heat ample amount of oil. Drop small dumplings of the bhaji into the oil.
  4. Fry until golden brown, and strain on paper towels. Serve hot.
