Ingredients to make Urad dal udhirtha kali

  • Black uard dal : 200 grams
  • coconut milk : 3 cups
  • ghee : 3 tablespoons
  • Gingelly oil : 1 tablespoon
  • egg : 1
  • onion : 1
  • sugar : 2 tablespoons
  • salt : to taste

How to make Urad dal udhirtha kali

  1. TAKE HALF OF A COCONUT. GRIND IT AND TAKE COCONUT MILK OF AROUND 3 CUPS
  2. ADD GROUNDED URAD DAL POWDER IN 2 CUPS OF COCONUT MILK & MIX WELL. KEEP 1 CUP OF COCONUT MILK ASIDE
  3. HEAT AROUND 3 TABLESPOONS OF GHEE IN A PAN
  4. ADD THE BATRER IN THE HOT GHEE AND KEEP OF STIRRING
  5. KEEP STIRRING UNTILL IT BECOMES DRY. IT WILL STICK TO THE PAN. DONT PANIC ADD NEEDED SALT
  6. AT THIS STAGE ADD THE REMAINING COCONUT MILK & KEEP ON STIRRING IN MEDIUM FLAME FOR 15 MORE MINUTES
  7. KEEP THE FLAME LOW AT THIS STAGE
  8. IN ANOTHER PAN HEAT 1 TABLESPOON OF GINGELLY OIL
  9. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION AND SAUTE WELL
  10. ADD AN EGG AND SCARAMBLE IT WELL
  11. SCARMBLE THE EGG WELL
  12. ADD THE SCRAMBLED EGG AND ONION IN THE URAD DAL KALI
  13. FINALLY ADD AROUND 2 TABLESPOONS OF SUGAR (OPTIONAL)
  14. MIX WELL, SWITCH OF THE FLAME AND SERVE HOT
