ABOUT Green Chutney (coriander-mint chutney) RECIPE

A very versatile dip. Smear it over sandwiches, have it with your chats or spoon it over your cutlets, this thick and green chutney is a sure hit.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Coriander 1 big bunch
  2. Mint leaves roughly half of the quantity of coriander
  3. Green chilies 2 to 3 (as per taste)
  4. Green capsicum - 1 medium
  5. Garlic - 3 to 4 big cloves
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
  8. Juice from one big lemon
  9. Bread slices 2 ( remove the brown sides and use the white part only)
  10. Water for adjusting the consistency

Instructions

  1. Pick mint leaves from its stem, wash thoroughly and keep aside.
  2. Cut off the stems of coriander and wash it well.
  3. Add mint, coriander along with all the ingredients into a small mixer jar, add very little water and blend well. Stop in between to scrape the sides and to adjust the seasoning.
  4. Blend into a smooth paste, store in air tight container, stores well in refrigerator for more than a week or you can make in bulk and freeze for months.
