Ingredients to make Hummus

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup Tahini paste
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • salt to taste
  • Chopped tomatoes for garnish

How to make Hummus

  1. Drain and wash the chickpeas and place them in the food processor and grind it to a coarse paste.
  2. Add tahini paste, lemon juice, crushed garlic and salt and grind everything into smooth paste. Add little water if required.
  3. Slowly drizzle the half olive oil in food processor while grinding.
  4. Taste and adjust the salt.
  5. Transfer the hummus on to a serving plate with the help of the back of a spoon make a swirl design on hummus. Pour olive oil, sprinkle paprika and garnish with chopped tomato and parsley. Serve with warm Pita bread.

My Tip:

To prepare the tahini paste, soak white sesame seeds over night and grind it into a smooth paste.
