This is a delicious mutton curry which can be served especially for dinner parties.

Ingredients to make mutton curry

  • 1/2 kg mutton
  • 1 tomato roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • For paste 4 roughly chopped onion
  • 1 tomato roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut pieces
  • 5 to 6 cashews
  • For tempering 2 green chilli
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Few curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste

How to make mutton curry

  1. Wash and add chopped tomato salt turmeric and chilli powder to this add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistle after 3 to 4 whistle switch off the flame keep aside to release pressure. Keep aside. Microwave this for 4 minutes adding 1 tbsp oil keep aside to cool When it is cool enough add 1 tbsp meat masala 1/2 tbsp chilli powder 1/2 tbsp coriander powder and make fine paste keep aside
  2. Heat the pan add oil when oil is hot add finely chopped onion sauté till onion is light brown in color now add 2 green chilli slit into half stir add salt stir then add ginger garlic paste stir till raw smell evaporates now add the above paste and stir until oil separates the pan and add cooked mutton.
  3. mix well adjust salt according to your taste simmer for 10 minutes switch of the flame garnish with fried onion yummy and tasty mutton curry is ready serve with white rice chapati dosa idli or with naan happy cooking
