Walnut Basil Pesto

Ingredients to make Walnut Basil Pesto

  • Basil leaves 2 cups
  • walnuts 1/4 cup
  • garlic 2-3 cloves
  • olive Oil 1/4 cup
  • Sea salt 1 tsp

How to make Walnut Basil Pesto

  1. Roast 1/4 cup walnuts for a couple of minutes till they release their fragrance.
  2. Remove the leaves from the basil stem, rinse them and drain.
  3. Add basil, chopped garlic, roasted walnuts, olive oil and salt to a food processor.
  4. Blend it all to a paste.
  5. Remove from food processor and use it as a spread on breads, toasts, pizza or as a pasta sauce.
