Ingredients to make Palak chicken

  • to cook with spinach we need - 1 bunch
  • garlic cloves- 4
  • chopped onion -1
  • green chilli - 1
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - little to taste.
  • to marinate chicken :-
  • chicken - half kg
  • ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • yogurt - 1 tbsp (optional)
  • salt - half tsp
  • to cook chicken we need :
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • onion - 2 chopped
  • tomato -2 chopped
  • ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • finally add : fresh cream 2 tbsp, butter -1- 2 tsp

How to make Palak chicken

  1. Boil one cup water, add cleaned, rinsed and chopped spinach, cook for 1 minute and with this add chopped onion ,green chilli, cumin seed and garlic cloves drain it.Cool it. Grind it .keep aside.
  2. Now marinate the chicken with turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste,salt to taste.adding yogurt is optional.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, saute well till golden brown, add ginger garlic paste and garam masala.Mix it and cook for a minute.
  4. Then add chopped tomatoes and little salt to taste.Allow it to cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add all the masalas.Mix well.
  6. Then add marinated chicken.
  7. Mix and cook for 10-15 minutes.Add few chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Add the palak paste.
  9. Mix well, simmer for 2 minutes.
  10. Finally add fresh cream and a spoon of butter. Mix and serve.Enjoy this with plain rice and roti.
