ABOUT Jalebi RECIPE

It's north Indian sweet. Crispy and juicy.a very famous breakfast dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour-1 cup
  2. Sugar-2 cup
  3. Milk -2 tsp
  4. Lemon-1/2
  5. Baking powder-1 tsp
  6. Baking soda -1/4 tsp
  7. water -2 cup
  8. Salt -a pinch
  9. Cardamom-1
  10. Orange food colour-3-4 drop
  11. Ghee -1 tsp
  12. Ghee for fry

Instructions

  1. First we prepare jalebi mixture. Take a bowl add all purpose flour. Add salt and one tsp ghee .mixed it .
  2. Add water slowly and make a smooth batter . Blend it with hand until it comes smooth and flowing consistency.
  3. Now we prepare sugar syrup. Heat a pan add 2 cup sugar and one cup water. Boil it. When sugar syrup start boiling add 2 tsp milk .
  4. milk helps to reduce dirt of sugar . Add half lemon it help to un -crystallize sugar syrup. cook 2 minutes and dirt comes up .put it out with ladle. Add orange food colour and crushed cardamom.
  5. cook sugar syrup just finger touched consistency..sugar syrup is ready .Now heat a pan add 1/2 inch ghee . Heat ghee in medium high flame .Pour batter in piping bag .
  6. make jalebi fry it both sides and place it quickly in sugar syrup for 3-4 minutes .then put it out from sugar syrup. .in this way make all jalebi. Yummy and juicy jalebi ready to serve .
