About Caramel Popcorn Recipe

Caramel corn or caramel popcorn is a confection made of popcorn coated with a sugar or molasses based caramel candy shell. Typically a sugar solution or syrup is made and heated until it browns and becomes thick, producing a caramelized candy syrup.

Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients to make Caramel Popcorn

  • 1 pack of Act 2 popcorn or 1/2 cup popcorn kernel
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

How to make Caramel Popcorn

  1. TAKE 1 PACKET POPCORN, POP THE CORN AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PACK, REMOVE & SET ASIDE
  2. FOR THE CARAMEL - MELT 2 TBSP BUTTER, ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  3. ADD 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR, LET IT MELT ON LOW HEAT
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP SALT, 2 TBSP CONDENSED MILK
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP VANILLA ESSENCE, 1/4 TSP BAKING SODA, MIX
  6. ADD 3 CUPS READY POPCORN TO THE CARAMEL SAUCE, TOSS
  7. TRANSFER ON A BAKING TRAY LINED WITH BUTTER PAPER
  8. BAKE IN A PRE HEATED OVEN AT 100 DEGREES FOR 5-7 MINS
  9. STIR ONCE IN BETWEEN
  10. CARAMEL POPCORN IS READY
  11. COOL A LITTLE, SEPARATE THE POPCORN
