Desi Burfi but with a twist of thandai masala which is glazed with a black cherry spread, This burfi is made with bottle gourd, so it's healthy and very delicious. If you want to make something new this Holi, try out this simple, easy and worth it recipe. Check out the step by step recipe below.
Heat a pan with clarified butter, and add the grated bottle gourd, cook it for at least 6-7 minutes. You will see the bottle guard is quite soft now, add in sugar and cook until all the moisture dries up.
Meanwhile grease an aluminum tray with ghee.
Now add mawa and mix it well, then add thandai masala, chopped cashews, almonds and cardamom powder, and a pinch of green color. Mix them well together.
Remove a pan from heat and pour this mixture into an aluminum tray and spread it evenly. Let it cool for 3-4 hours. Now cut the pieces of your desired shape. (I have cut them into square pieces.)
Now spread the cherry glazed spread on the burfi and garnish them with some chopped almonds.
