Rajma in tomato gravy without onion ginger and garlic

Ingredients to make Rajma in jain style

  • 1 cup rajma soaked
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 spoon cumin seeds
  • 1 spoon dhaniya powder
  • 1/4 spoon crushed black pepper
  • A pinch of red chilli powder
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1/4 garam masala
  • Green chilli ( optional)
  • Corriander leaves to garnish
  • 1 spoon ghee
  • A pinch asofoetida

How to make Rajma in jain style

  1. Soak rajma overnite
  2. Boil rajma by adding salt in it
  3. Heat ghee in a pan add asofoetida,cumin seeds,dhaniya powder, turmeric powder,red chilli powder
  4. Roast them well
  5. Add tomato puree in it ,stir it well
  6. As soon as gravy leaves ghee add boiled rajma to it
  7. Cook it well
  8. Add garam masala and black pepper
  9. Garnish with corriander leaves
  10. Serve hot
