About Matar kofta curry Recipe

Matar kofta curry

Ingredients to make Matar kofta curry

  • For matar kofta :
  • Boiled and mashed matar( peas): 1 bowl
  • Boiled and mashed potatoes : 3/4 cup
  • salt
  • 1 tsp green chilly and ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • oil for fry
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • For Curry :
  • 1 tbsp green chilly, ginger, garlic (1 :1:1) paste
  • 3/4 cup onion paste
  • 1,1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp cashew paste
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • pinch of sugar-cardamom powder
  • drop of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala

How to make Matar kofta curry

  1. For Kofta in bowl take boiled and mashed matar, boiled and mashed potatoes, salt, greenchilly and ginger paste, garam masala and coriander .mix all ingredients and make ovel shape kofta.
  2. Fry kofta at mideam heat till its became crisp out side.then keep a side.
  3. Now, heat ghee in kadai.add pinch of hing and then add greenchilly ginger and garlic paste. saute it.
  4. When it remove ghee the side of kadai add onion paste and saute till it remove ghee the side of kadai.stir continuously.
  5. Then add tomato puree and saute .
  6. Now ,add redchilly powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala and mix it .
  7. When ghee relies from the side of kadai, add cashew paste and mix .
  8. Stir continue and add fresh cream .saute till ghee remove from the side of kadai.
  9. Add curd and stir continuously till ghee remove from the side of kadai.
  10. Add kasoori methi ( dry fenugreek leaves), coriander and mix it.
  11. Add pinch of sugar-cardamom powder and drop off lemon juice and mix. Curry is ready.
  12. Now serve curry in serving bowl and add matar kofta in curry .pour some curry on matar kofta. Tasty matar kofta curry is Ready .

My Tip:

You can use magastari paste instead of cashew paste.
