This curry is very authentic Jain curry too and also a tangy chawli curry with typically panjoo masaalas.yes lal mirc kashmiri powder,adrak ka paste,namak haldi,zeera dhaniya powder,pinch of garam masala.Just roast in ghee with whole cummin,wow is the curry

Chawli Tomato Curry

Ingredients to make Chawli Tomato Curry

  • 150 grams Chawli beans /white kidney beans
  • 2 tomatoes grated
  • 1tspn adrak paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1tspn lal mirch kashmiri powder
  • 1tspn zeera dhaniya powder
  • 1/2tspn haldi
  • 1/8th tspn garam masaala
  • 1tspn zeera whole
  • 1tblspn desi ghee
  • curry leaves
  • coriander to Garnish

How to make Chawli Tomato Curry

  1. Soak Chali beans in warm water 30 minutes
  2. Grate two medium tomatoes
  3. Now take ghee in pressure cooker
  4. Heat add zeera whole to splutter
  5. Now add the Tomato grated and adrak paste
  6. Saute well
  7. Add salt ,haldi,lal mirch zeera dhaniya and garam masala
  8. Add soaked chawli to this saute masala add 3 glasses water
  9. Pressure cook 15 minutes,keep in pressure till pressure done
  10. Your chawlis creamy curry is done
  11. Serve with boiled rice or roti,parantha

My Tip:

If no time to soak boil water and put chawli in it 5 minutes soak till u make the masaala.No onion garlic so Jain too.
