ABOUT Pan Grilled Paneer sandwich in onion tomato gravy .. RECIPE

We get lot variants of paneer gravy recipes in hotels and dhabbas but i tried making entirely a different variety which you will not find it anywhere..Its my innovation and hope you would appreciate this .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cottage cheese 250 g
  2. Tomatoes medium sized 4
  3. Onion medium sized 2
  4. Cashew presoaked 6-7
  5. Vegetable oil / pure ghee 4 table spoons.
  6. Fresh curd 100 ml
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Degi mirch 1 teaspoon
  9. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Ginger one inch .
  11. Garlic pods 3-4
  12. Red chilly whole dried 2-3
  13. Coriander leaves .20 mg for garnishing
  14. Pudina /mint chutney 30 g
  15. Dhania powder 1 teaspoon
  16. Garam masala 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. For making cottage cheese sandwich ..
  2. Cut 2 inch pieces of cottage cheese into three rectangular slabs
  3. Now each slab cut it into two equal halves to make the sandwich ..like this do it for other two slabs too .
  4. Apply thick pudina chutney in between and press both the halves tightly .like this we have to repeat the same with the others too.
  5. On a grilled pan apply little oil by heating the grilled pan on a medium flame .
  6. Place all the sandwiched cottage cheese rectangular slabs on it .
  7. Press them lightly and once turned brown turn the side. In five minutes the grilled sandwich would be ready ..keep them aside ..
  8. Now for making the gravy.
  9. Take a wok Add ghee and heat it on the medium flame ..
  10. Add chunks of onions , tomatoes, pieces of ginger and garlic ..Also add presoaked cashew nuts . ..
  11. Sauteed them all together ..
  12. Let them become tender . Once tender ... .Allow them to cool ...because we have to make it's smooth paste now.
  13. In a blender jar add all the sauteed ingredients .
  14. Now add the fresh curd too .
  15. Blend them into smooth rich paste .
  16. Now in a wok add little ghee and pour the paste .
  17. Add turmeric powder, degi mirch powder , dhania powder , Crushed kasoori methi and garam masala...stir it throughly ..
  18. Adjust the consistency by adding little water ..and allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes by adding the desired amount of salt ..
  19. Salt would splutter the curd if added earlier....
  20. Now our gravy is ready ..
  21. We have to add paneer sandwich at the time of serving only
  22. Immerse them in a hot gravy at the time of serving only and let the gravy masala get infused into the sandwiches...
  23. Trust me you would appreciate this pan Plate grilled sandwich paneer immersed in rich creamy gravy ...variant of mine .
  24. Enjoy this with laccha paranthas or butter naan ...or rumali roti ..
  25. The choice is yours .
