About Nargisi Kofta Curry Recipe

This curry is made of fried hard boiled eggs coated with minced meat and thencooked in a gravy.

Nargisi Kofta Curry

Ingredients to make Nargisi Kofta Curry

  • Mutton finely minced 1cup
  • Hard boiled eggs 2
  • Bread slice 1
  • ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Green chilli chopped 1
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2tsp
  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped coriander 1tbs
  • salt according to taste
  • oil for deep frying
  • Whole egg 1
  • onion 2
  • tomatoes 2
  • ginger 1 inch piece
  • garlic pods5
  • Mutton masala 1/2 tsp
  • oil for cooking 3tbs
  • water

How to make Nargisi Kofta Curry

  1. Remove the shell of boiled eggs and beat the whole one in to a bowl and keep aside.
  2. Grind minced mutton with bread, ginger garlic paste and chilli to make a smooth paste.
  3. Add all dry powder, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into two portions.
  5. Cover each egg with one portion until it is entirely covered.
  6. Smooth the upper portion with hand.
  7. Dip each egg in beaten egg and deep fry till it is golden brown.
  8. Now for curry make a paste of onion, ginger and garlic.
  9. Puree the tomatoes.
  10. Heat oil in kadhai and add onion, ginger, garlic paste and cook well.
  11. Add mutton masala and cook for few minutes.
  12. Add tomato puree, add salt and cook till oil separetes.
  13. Add water, mix well and give it a boil.
  14. Add egg meat balls and cook for further few mins.
  15. Garnish with coriander leaves.
