Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg potatoes
  2. 2 bay leafs
  3. 1 Star anas
  4. 1/2inch cinemon
  5. 2 green cardamom
  6. 2 cloves
  7. 1 big size onion finely chopped
  8. 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 tbsp gretted dry coconut
  10. 1tbsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  11. 1/2tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1tbsp coriander powder
  13. 1tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1/2cup yougurt
  15. 2tsp garam masala powder
  16. 7_8cashew nuts
  17. 2green chilli slightly cut
  18. 1tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  19. Salt to taste
  20. 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Take potatoes peel and cut into a medium pieces and boil them. once boiled enough, strain them and keep aside to cool.
  2. Take a kadhai heat 4 tbsp oil . When oil is heated, then add potato pieces and fry till they are golden in color. Keep them aside.
  3. Now take a add 1tsp oil, add grated dry coconut and cashew nuts, fry for a minute ,when it looks nice golden colour then take out a plate.
  4. Make a smooth paste of the coconut and the cashew nuts.
  5. Now same pan add 1tbsp oil . When oil is heated then add cumin seeds.
  6. When cumin seeds starts crackling then add bay leaf,green cardamom,cinemon stick,star anas and cloves saute them.
  7. Now add chopped onion,4_5 cashew nuts ,green chilli ,fry until it's turned golden in colour.
  8. Now add ginger garlic paste and mix it.
  9. Now add red chilli powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder mix it.
  10. After this add coconut and cashew nuts paste and give it a good mix now cover the lid and cook it in low to medium flame just 2 minutes.
  11. After 2 minutes open the lid and stir it.
  12. Now add yougurt and give it a good mix again cover the lid and cook it in another 2 minutes.
  13. After 2 minutes open the lid and mix it.
  14. Now add 1 cup of water and salt ,mix it and let this boil.
  15. Once the gravy starts boiling, add fried potatoes and garam masala mix it.
  16. Now cover the lid and cook it for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  17. After 5 minutes, open the lid and stir it.
  18. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix it gently.
  19. Now switch off the flame and serve this Aloo Korma with chapati or rice enjoy!
