    Ingredients to make Rawa Kesari

    • 1 cup rawa/semolina
    • ½ cup ghee
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup sugar
    • A pinch of edible orange food colour
    • 8-10 cashew nuts (broken)
    • 8-10 raisins
    • 3-5 almonds (sliced)

    How to make Rawa Kesari

    1. Boil water in a pan and keep it aside.
    2. Heat the ghee in a thick bottomed pot. Once it is heated, roast the cashews and raisins and store it aside.
    3. Also roast the rawa in the same pot on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
    4. Spill the boiling water gently into the rawa all the while stirring the mixture continuously.
    5. Once the semolina is cooked, remove it from the fire and set aside. Note that the rawa is cooked when it does not stick to the sides of the pot and forms a single mass.
    6. Next step is to add the ingredients, sugar, food colouring, cashews, raisins and almonds one by one and mix thoroughly.
    7. Serve it in a plate to enjoy this delicious dessert at once.

    My Tip:

    Note that stirring the rawa continuously while it is cooking will ensure that no lumps are formed.
