An instant pickle made by cooking the lemons.No need to keep them in the sun for days

Instant Lemon Pickle

Ingredients to make Instant Lemon Pickle

  • lemons 10 (Approx 400 grms)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup red chilli powder

How to make Instant Lemon Pickle

  1. WASH, PAT DRY & CHOP 400 GMS LEMONS
  2. CUT THEM INTO 8 PIECES EACH
  3. REMOVE ALL THE SEEDS
  4. ADD 4 CUPS WATER IN PRESSURE COOKER & PLACE THE LEMONS INSIDE
  5. COVER THE LEMON PAN
  6. PRESSURE COOK FOR 1 WHISTLE, RELEASE PRESSURE, COOK ON 10-12 MINS ON LOW HEAT
  7. THE LEMONS ARE DONE NOW
  8. STRAIN THE LEMONS, RESERVE THE WATER
  9. ADD 1.5 CUPS SUGAR TO THE RESERVED WATER & STIR
  10. BOIL THE SYRUP FOR 5-7 MINS TILL THE SUGAR DISSOLVES
  11. THE SYRUP SHOULD ATTAIN THIS THICK CONSISTENCY
  12. ADD 1/2 CUP SALT
  13. ADD 1/2 CUP RED CHILLI POWDER, STIR
  14. ADD THE LEMONS, TAKE OFF HEAT, MIX
  15. COOL COMPLETELY, STORE IN STERILIZED JARS & REFRIGERATE
