About Mint- Coriander Chutney /Dip Recipe

This is my version of the all time favorite chutney in my family. It is very tasty and nutritious, since it is a combination of greens, dry fruit and fruit.

Mint- Coriander Chutney /Dip

Ingredients to make Mint- Coriander Chutney /Dip

  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 10 almonds
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • salt to taste ( 1/2 tsp)
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • For seasoning :
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal ( black gram)

How to make Mint- Coriander Chutney /Dip

  1. Clean and wash the coriander and mint leaves. Chop them roughly, then wash the chilli and ginger, next remove the skin from the ginger and cut into small pieces.
  2. Take all ingredients along with mint and coriander leaves and blend it to a smooth paste. Remove in a serving bowl and prepare the seasoning.
  3. To prepare the seasoning, heat the oil, add the mustard seeds, when it splutters add urad dal and cook till it turns golden in color. Pour this over the chutney/dip.
  4. Serve as you like it. It goes well with all savories, sandwiches, etc.

My Tip:

You can also store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for long.
