ABOUT Thandai RECIPE

A very 'easy to make' cool drink and bla bla (who doesn't know about it).

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Almonds- 12
  2. Sugar- 4 tsp (or more)
  3. Milk- 3 cups
  4. Chilled Water- 1/2 cup
  5. Black peppercorns- 7-8
  6. Green Cardamom- 10 (only the seeds)
  7. Kesar strands- 4-5
  8. Rose water- 2 tsp
  9. Saunf (fennel seeds)- 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a mixer jar, throw in the cardamom seeds, pepper,almonds, saunf and sugar. Grind it into a fine powder.
  2. Take 3 cups of milk and add 1/2 cup water. (The water addition is not compulsory but thandai is little less of milk (means it is little less rich). Add the powder according to your need. I used all of it.)
  3. Add kesar and rose water and chill in the refrigerator for minimum of 4 hours.
  4. Serve it chilled with some almond flakes sprinkled on top.
