ABOUT Chilli Garlic Momos RECIPE

A few days back, I had tried momos at a cafe in Ahmedabad, since then I was craving for such momos. Yes, I crave for Chinese food a lot!! Yesterday I tried making them with the help of my mom, and it turned out to be very easy and the momos were so soft, I ate some of them as such.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 tbsp oil
  2. 1 cup chopped cabbage
  3. 1 cup chopped carrots
  4. 1 cup chopped onions
  5. 1-2 tbsp ginger-garlic-chilli paste
  6. Salt n pepper as per taste
  7. 1 cup maida
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. Water,as required
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tbsp butter
  12. 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
  13. 2 tbsp Chings schezwan sauce
  14. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  15. 1 tbsp soya sauce
  16. Salt, as per taste
  17. Water, if required
  18. 1 spring onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste & onions & sauté it for about 2 minutes. Add carrots to it & cook them. Then add cabbage to it and salt and pepper as well. In a bowl, take maida, salt, oil and water. Knead the dough until it beco

  3. In a bowl, take maida, salt, oil and water. Knead the dough until it becomes soft & keep it for rest under a damp cloth for about 15 minutes.
  4. After the resting time, take out the dough, knead it, take a small portion out of the dough, and roll it until it is very thin like a phulka roti. Take a spoonful of stuffing, place it between the rolled dough, fold it, and seal it by apply

  6. Take a steamer, add water to it, and heat it. Apply oil over the surface of the momos to avoid sticking to the surface of the steamer, I had used aluminium steamer.
  7. lace them over the steamer, cover the steamer with lid. Allow the momos to steam for 10 minutes.
  8. For the sauce, add butter in a pan, keep it on low flame and add garlic. Add the sauces, salt and spring onions to it. If it is too dry, add some amount of water, so that the momos get coated with the sauce.
  9. Add momos to it and serve hot!
