Ingredients to make Murukku

  • rice 1 cup
  • Urd dall 1/2 cup
  • Butter2 table spoon
  • Gingly seeda 1 tea spoon
  • salt need
  • hing

How to make Murukku

  1. Soak the rice for 30 minutes.
  2. Grind the soaked rice into a paste. Keep this aside.
  3. Fry urd dall until golden colour
  4. Grind it into a smooth powder
  5. Mix the urad dal into the rice batter. Now add butter, hing and rest of the ingredients.
  6. Now shape the kneaded dough into murrukus.
  7. Heat ample amount of oil in akadhai, on a medium flame. Fry the murrukus in the oil.
  8. Fry until golden in colour and strain them.
