Tandoori momos

Ingredients to make Tandoori momos

  • all purpose flour or maida 2 cup
  • salt as needed
  • water as required
  • For stuffing
  • Chicken shredded (boiled with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and salt) 1 cup
  • onion 1 chopped
  • Mayonise 1 table spoon
  • Cheese grated 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Schezwan sause 1 tsp
  • For outer tandoori masala
  • Roasted gram flour/ besan 4 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • curd 4 tbsp
  • Musturd oil 3 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Red food colour 1/8 tsp
  • oil for frying
  • Coal + 1/2 tsp ghee for tandoori flavour

How to make Tandoori momos

  1. In a bowl ad maida and salt. Mix wel, using sufficient water make soft dough. Cover and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Mean while In a mixing bowl ad shredded chicken ,onion,cheese, mayonise, schezwan sauce and black pepper.mix wel. And keep aside.
  3. Now mix all ingridients of tandoori masala in rosted besan.
  4. Heat musturd oil and pour into tandoori masala mixture and mix well and keep aside.
  5. To make momos takeout small part of dough and roll it and put 2 tsp chicken mixtre. And shape into momo. ( i had make 15 momos out of it)
  6. Deep fry in very hot oil ( at one time i fry 5 to 6 momos).
  7. Once cool completely, coat tandoori masala over each momo.
  8. In a momo bowl put hot coal on foil paper and drop ghee over it and cover the lid, so momos get coal effect.
  9. Now take stick or skewers and place 2 to 3 momos in it.
  10. Now heat grill on high flame and cook momos over it. Momos will be grilled for all side so keep rotating skewers.
  11. When done from all sides serve hot with onion or as it is.

My Tip:

Salt can be added if needed in stuffing.
