Ingredients to make Soya 65

  • Soya chunks 20 -30
  • water 4 large glasses
  • yogurt 3 tablespoons
  • ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • Soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon
  • oil for frying

How to make Soya 65

  1. In a wide container , boil 4 large glasses of water . At the boiling time, add the soya chunks and switch off the flame . Needn’t boil soya chunks .
  2. Let the soya chunks immerse in the hot water . Let it rest for 30 minutes till the soya chunks double the size by turning soft .
  3. After 30 minutes , squeeze out the soya chunks completely . You get see some soapy fluid released from the soya chunks . After squeezing out the entire fluid , wash the Soya chunks under running water .
  4. Drain the Soya chunks completely and transfer the chunks to a wide mixer bowl .
  5. In a mixer bowl , add yogurt , salt , dry powders , ginger garlic paste , soy sauce , black pepper powder and marinate the soya chunks for about 15 minutes .
  6. Refrigerate the marinated soya chunks for fifteen minutes for better masala absorption.
  7. After 15 minutes , heat oil in a wok for dry frying / shallow frying . Both the methods give yummy soya 65s. I prefer shallow frying mostly .
  8. Fry these soya 65 till it turns delicious brown . Do fry under medium flame for even frying .
  9. Serve hot .
