Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 5 boiled eggs
  2. 1 kg minced meat of your choice
  3. 1 tsp parsley
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 4 slices of bread
  6. 1/2 cup Milk
  7. 1/2 tsp Salt
  8. 1 tsp Paprika powder
  9. 1/2 tsp Mustard
  10. 1 tsp pepper
  11. 1/2 tsp celery salt (if you have otherwise just add plain salt)
  12. 1 tblsp Tabasco sauce
  13. 1 tblsp Worchesterchire sauce
  14. For the glaze
  15. 1 cup ketchup
  16. 1 tsp mustard powder
  17. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  18. 1 tsp Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Start by pre-heating the oven to 180 degree centigrade and then lining a baking tray with foil. Keep aside.
  2. Make the glaze first by mixing together the ketchup, mustard powder, brown sugar and Tabasco. Mix well until the brown sugar dissolves.
  3. In a large bowl add in the meat and all the spices including salt, pepper, parsley, Tabasco, Worchesterchire sauce, paprika and mix well.
  4. Pour the milk over the slices of bread and keep aside for 2 minutes.
  5. Break the eggs into the meat mix and then add the bread. Mix well until the whole thing is a homogeneous mix.
  6. Take half the meat and lay down flat, shaping into a loaf on the lined baking tray. Arrange the peeled boiled eggs in a neat line and top with the remaining meatloaf mix. Make sure you cover it completely and the egg is not peaking out
  7. Take 1/3 of the glaze and pour over the meatloaf. Bake for 45 minutes in the hot oven. Pour another 1/3 part of the glaze and bake for an additional 15 minutes so that the meat is juicy.
  8. Remove and cool for 10 minutes before serving with the remaining sauce.
