About Medu wada Recipe

This is a typical south Indian snack, made with urad dal, and served with coconut chutney.

Ingredients to make Medu wada

  • Urad daal - 1cup
  • salt - As per taste
  • water - 3/4tablespoon
  • cumin seeds - 1/2tablespoon
  • oil - For deep frying
  • Soda - 3/2tablepsoon

How to make Medu wada

  1. Soak urad daal for 4hrs in hot water.
  2. Than grind it using little water.
  3. Add salt and soda mix well.
  4. Heat the oil than deep fry the wadas.
  5. Serve it with chutney.
