ABOUT Baingan ka bhartha (Jain) RECIPE

Bhartha is manin south indian cuisine famous in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Its served with roti, paratha or bajari no roto.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Eggplant 2 medium size
  2. Chopped tometo 2
  3. Chopped green chilli 1
  4. Grated ginger 1 inch
  5. Chilli powder 1 spoon
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
  7. Coriander powder 1/2 spoon
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
  10. Pinch of Asafoetida
  11. Oil 3 table spoon
  12. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Cut vertical eggplant and apply oil and roast it. Take kadai and add oil and heat it
  2. Then add tometos, green chili and ginger. Let it cook for 5 minutes
  3. Remove eggplant's peels and mashed it
  4. Then add it in kadai
  5. Add salt and spices and cook it for 1-2 minutes
  6. Take bhartha in bowl and add coriender leaves and serve it
