Ingredients to make Kadai Paneer - Restaurant style

  • For Kadai masala:
  • 2 tsp corriander seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Whole Black pepper
  • 2 -3 Dry red chillies
  • For Puree:
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 inch ginger chopped
  • 9-10 cashews
  • 3 garlic CLOVES
  • 1 medium sized onion chopped
  • 2 big tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp red chillies powder
  • salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp water
  • FOR GRAVY:
  • 150 gms paneer cubed
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1/2 capsicum cubed
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 onion cubed
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1/2 tsp crushed Kasuri methi
  • 3/4 cup water
  • salt to taste

How to make Kadai Paneer - Restaurant style

  1. DRY ROAST SPICES
  2. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
  3. GRIND TO FINE POWDER
  4. ADD GINGER, GARLIC TO HOT OIL AND SAUTE UNTIL RAW AROMA GOES AWAY
  5. ADD AND SAUTE ONIONS UNTIL TRANSLUCENT
  6. ADD TOMATOES, SAUTE UNTIL TENDER
  7. ADD TURMERIC, RED CHILI POWDER AND SALT
  8. ADD CASHEWS, SAUTE FOR A MINUTE
  9. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
  10. ADD LITTLE WATER AND BLEND TO FORM SMOOTH PUREE
  11. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, SAUTE PANEER UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN ON EDGES. KEEP ASIDE
  12. IN SAME PAN, ADD 2 TSP OIL AND FRY ONIONS AND CAPSICUM
  13. ADD PUREE AND SAUTE FOR 2 MINUTES
  14. ADD SALT AND WATER, MIX WELL
  15. COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES
  16. ADD PANEER
  17. ADD GARAM MASALA, KASURI METHI, CREAM AND GENTLY MIX EVERYTHING
  18. SERVE HOT WITH ROTI ,NAAN OR PULAO
