Potato and cheese combination is just irresistible. Got inspired by the recipe in a cookery show and made variations according to my tastebud.

Cheese-ki-Chori is a mouthwatering dish which is perfect to serve at any occasion. It is a recipe of American cuisine which is very famous in the whole worldwide. This is very amazing in taste and it contains a lot of health benefiting nutrients. It is a quick and easy recipe and you can easily prepare restaurant style Cheese-ki-Chori at your home. Cheese-ki-Chori by Sadhana Sudarshan will help you to prepare the perfect Cheese-ki-Chori at your home. You don't need any extra effort or time to prepare this. It just needs 45 minute for the preparation and 15 minute for cooking. Whether it is a grand party or a normal kitty party, it is a perfect dish to serve and to get the compliments from your guests. Ingredients to make Cheese-ki-Chori

  • potato - 2
  • water- 2 cups
  • salted cheese cubes- 3
  • Bread crumbs- 1 cup
  • Rice flour- 1 tbsp
  • salt- A pinch
  • oil - To fry

How to make Cheese-ki-Chori

  1. Slice or grate the potatoes in a thin slices and not mashed or totally crumbed.
  2. Boil water in a pan and add the slices of potatoes just to remove the starch ( 2 to 3 mins). It should not get cooked or mashed in the process. Keep it aside in the bowl and let it cool completely.
  3. Grate the cheese and keep it aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl add the potatoes and dust a little rice flour to dry it up.
  5. Add the grated cheese in the above potato mixture and make small balls and keep it aside for 2 to 3 mins.
  6. In a small bowl add tbsp of rice flour and a little water with a pinch of salt, should be like batter consistency. Keep bread crumbs ready in a plate all by each side.
  7. Heat the oil in kadai and ready for frying.
  8. Now take the potato cheese balls one by one roll it in rice flr batter and then in bread crumbs, let it coat nicely and then keep it ready for frying.
  9. Deep fry and enjoy it on a chilled evening or a surprisingly rainy day. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or Mayonnaise.

My Tip:

I have prepared bread crumbs by grinding freshly baked bakery bread.
