About Cheese Chili Toast Recipe

Mumbai!! We can certainly call it as a home of street food. Cheese Chilli Toast is a brunch recipe prepared with Bread Slices and hotness of Green Chillies. It is a popular Indian Street food snack adapted from United Kingdom. Lazy Sundays – we can skip our breakfast and jump to lunch directly with this brunch recipe, which can be easily prepared within fractions of seconds. This Cheese and Chilli flavored toast will be liked by everyone specially kids. So have a look at the recipe.

Cheese Chili Toast

Ingredients to make Cheese Chili Toast

  • White / Brown / Multigrain Bread Slices - 8
  • Grated Cheese – 1 cup
  • Finely Chopped green chillies – ½ cup
  • chilli Flakes – ½ tsp
  • Oregano – ½ tsp
  • salt – ¼ tsp
  • butter as required

How to make Cheese Chili Toast

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup Grated Cheese (Any of your choice) followed by ½ cup of finely chopped Green Chillies.
  2. Then add ½ tsp of Chilli Flakes, ½ tsp of Oregano and ¼ tsp of Salt mix well and keep aside.
  3. On preheated tawa take 1 tsp of Butter and grease it well.
  4. Take two slices of Bread, roast for 1 Min from one side and flip the Bread slice.
  5. Add 1 ½ tsp of Cheese stuffing on both the slices.
  6. Cover with the lid and simmer on low flame until turns crispy.
  7. In a similar way, make all the Bread toast.
  8. When turns crispy remove into the serving, dish and cut diagonally and serve hot with Tomato Sauce.

My Tip:

You can bake the bread toast in oven also in place of tawa for about 5 - 8 Min at 250°C. Add Salt carefully as Butter and Cheese already contains Salt. If making for kids reduce the amount of Green Chillies. Do not forget to cover with a lid else, the cheese do not melt easily.
