ABOUT Puris with a masalaedar twist RECIPE

A simple and quick dish in case you have sudden guests at home or if you have no time and patience to cook your regular menu but craving for a delicious meal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour- 2 glass (200 ml)
  2. Fresh Corriander- 1 fistful
  3. Green chillies- 2
  4. Fresh ginger- 1 inch
  5. Garlic - 1 seed
  6. Water- 1 cup
  7. Salt- 1 tsp
  8. Oil- 2 tsp ( for mixing)
  9. Oil - 1 kadai for frying

Instructions

  1. Grind coriander, green chillies, ginger and garlic together to a fine paste. Ensure there are no lumps left. You can add little water if required.
  2. Take a mixing bowl add wheat flour, little salt , oil and the above mixture and start kneading it. Add water as required and prepare a stiff dough till it doesnt sick to vessel or your hand. Keep it aside for 15- 30 mins and let it rest.
  3. Heat the oil till its ready for frying. Meanwhile divide the flour equally and start rolling it in 3 to 4 inches diameter. Dont roll it too thin.
  4. Fry the puris till you see a nice greenish brownish colour to it and serve it hot with Ketchup or tamarind sweet chutney.
