papadi with twist

Ingredients to make papadi with twist

  • For Dough: maida 1cup
  • oil 1 tbl. spoon
  • For filling: Bengal gram flour(besan) 1cup
  • Chili powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • ajwain 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • water
  • For Frying: oil

How to make papadi with twist

  1. Take all purpose flour in bowl add oil and rub the oil and flour using your fingertips.You will get crumbly texture.Start kneading the dough by adding water little at a time. Make smooth tight dough cover it and rest it 10 minute.
  2. Take Bengal gram flour (Besan) in bowl add ajwain, chilli powder and salt mix it well and make dough by adding water little at a time.
  3. after 10 minute take small portion maida dough and small portion besan dough. Stuff the besan filling in the maida dough & cover it and roll using chapathi roller to a thin sheet. Then prick holes with fork to avoid puffing up while frying.
  4. Take a kadhai and heat the oil and fry all the papadi. cool it and store 15 to 20 days. Enjoy with tea coffee.
