ABOUT Roasted eggs chaat RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Eggs 3
  2. Water to boil eggs
  3. Sesame oil 1 tablespoon
  4. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt a big pinch
  6. Black pepper powder 1.5 teaspoons
  7. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Onion medium sized finely chopped
  10. Chaat Masala 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Coriander leaves finely chopped for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs for fifteen minutes . Take out the boiled eggs from the hot water and tranfer to a bowl of plain water . Let it rest for 7 minutes . Wash the eggs under running water and is start removing the shell of the eggs . This method eases out removing the shell in one go .
  2. In a pan , heat sesame oil . Add the dry powders except chaat masala . Sim the flame to low as soon as you add the dry powders. This stops the masala getting burnt and turning dark , unpleasant .
  3. Mix the masala along with the oil for few seconds till the masala looks blended and the raw smell leaves .
  4. Cut the eggs into equal halves vertically .
  5. First gently place the egg on the masala , so that the inner part ( yolk ) gets coated with the masala . Let it cook for 1 minute . Then gently turn the egg so that the outer part ( white ) gets masala coated . Let it roast for 2 minutes under low flame .
  6. Finally add the chaat masala , give a quick toss and transfer the eggs to a plate .
  7. Now freshly chop one onion and coriander leaves . Garnish the roasted eggs with onions and coriander leaves . Serve hot .
