Sabudana Khichadi

Ingredients to make Sabudana Khichadi

  • 2 cups soaked sabudana
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 2 tbsp green chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Some curry leaves
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 potato
  • 1 tomato

How to make Sabudana Khichadi

  1. 2 CUPS SOAKED SABUDANA, 1/2 CUP PEANUTS, 1 POTATO, TOMATO, & LEMON , 2 TSP SUGAR, ROCK SALT TO TASTE
  2. WASH SABUDANA, SOAK IN WATER. DRAIN EXCESS WATER, COVER & LEAVE IT OVERNIGHT. THIS WILL NON- STICKY
  3. IN A PAN ROAST 1/2 CUP PEANUTS.
  4. RUB WITH PALM LIKE THIS.
  5. COARSELY GRING PEANUTS LIKE THIS.
  6. IN A PAN HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, SOME CURRY LEAVES.
  7. ADD 2 TSP CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES & STIR.
  8. ADD 1 CUP FINE CHOPPED POTATO & FRY.
  9. ADD 1/2 CUP CHOPPED TOMATO& COOK.
  10. ADD 2 TSP SUGAR & ROCK SALT TO TASTE.
  11. COOK TILL TOMATO SOFT.
  12. NOW ADD SOAKED 2 CUPS SABUDANA.
  13. MIX WELL.
  14. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, ADD HALF PEANUT POWDER.
  15. MIX WELL.
  16. NOW ADD HALF PEANUT POWDER.
  17. ADD 2 TSP LEMON JUICE & MIX WELL.
  18. COOK FOR 5 MINUTES & HEAT OFF.
  19. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OVERCOOK IT OR IT'LL GET STICKY.
  20. TRANSFER IT IN SERVING BOWL.
  21. READY TO SERVE.
  22. SERVE HOT!!!
