Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Medium Size Bottle Gourd :1 Grated
  2. Gram Flour (Besan) : 1/2 Cup
  3. Green Chillies : 1
  4. Onion : 1/2 Chopped
  5. Dry mango powder :1 tsp
  6. Chilly Powder : 1/2 tsp
  7. Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp
  8. Cilantro (Dhania) Leaves : 2 tbsp finely chopped
  9. For gravy-
  10. Oil 3 tbsp
  11. Onion 1
  12. Tomato 3
  13. Green chilly 2
  14. Asafetida a pinch
  15. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  16. Salt to taste
  17. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  18. 2 tsp coriander powder
  19. 1 tsp garam masala
  20. 1 tsp deggi mirch
  21. 2 tbsp fresh coriander

Instructions

  1. GRATE THE PEELED BOTTLE GOURD
  2. ADD 5-6 TBSP GRAM FLOUR, 1 GREEN CHILLY, 1/2 ONION, 1/2 TSP CUMIN POWDER
  3. 1/2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE, 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA, 1/2 TSP CHILLY POWDER, SALT, 1 TSP DRY MANGO POWDER, MIX WELL
  4. ADD 2 TBSP FRESH CORIANDER AND MIX WELL
  5. APPLY SOME OIL IN HOT APPE PAN
  6. POUR A TBSP OF BATTER IN EVERY CAVITY.
  7. AFTER 2 MINUTES FLIP AND COOK OPPOSITE SIDE.
  8. SPRINKLE LITTLE OIL ON TOP . COVER WITH LID AND COOK FOR 2 MINUTES ON MEDIUM FLAME
  9. KOFTAS ARE READY, TRANSFER IN A PLATE
  10. FOR GRAVY- MAKE A PUREE OF 1 ONION, 3 TOMATOES AND 2 GREEN CHILLIES
  11. IN 3 TBSP HOT OIL ADD PINCH OF ASAFETIDA, 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, 1 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE & LET IT BROWN
  12. ADD ONION- TOMATO PASTE, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 2 TSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1 TSP DEGGI MIRCH POWDER
  13. COOK TILL THE OIL SEPARATES, ADD 1.5 CUP WATER, SALT TO TASTE
  14. PRESSURE COOK FOR 1 WHISTLE
  15. GRAVY IS READY, ADD 2 TBSP FRESH CORIANDER AND KOFTAS
  16. ENJOY WITH RICE OR CHAPATI
