Apple Khichadi | Vrat Special

Ingredients to make Apple Khichadi | Vrat Special

  • apple – 1 nos (Unpeeled and cut into small pieces)
  • clarified butter / Desi ghee – 2 tsp
  • cumin Seeds / Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Chopped green chillies – 1 tsp
  • curry leaves – 5 to 6
  • Groundnuts / peanuts / Mungfali – 1 tsp
  • red chilli Powder / Lal mirchi – ¼ tsp
  • Vrat salt – ¼ tsp
  • lemon Juice – 1 tsp
  • peanut Powder – 2 tsp

How to make Apple Khichadi | Vrat Special

  1. In a cooking pan take 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.
  2. Add 1 tsp of Jeera, 1 tsp of chopped Green Chillies followed by few Curry Leaves and 1 tsp of Peanuts.
  3. Roast Peanuts for 2 Min nicely.
  4. Then add unpeeled Apple pieces and sauté the Apples nicely for 3 – 4 Min.
  5. Add ¼ tsp of Red Chilli Powder and ¼ tsp of Vrat Salt and mix well.
  6. Add 1 tsp of Lemon juice and 2 tsp of Peanut Powder and mix well.
  7. Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 2 Min.
  8. Apple Khichadi is ready to serve hot.

My Tip:

Do not over cook the Apples as crunchy bite of Apples give a delicious taste.
