About Achappam Recipe

Achappam

Ingredients to make Achappam

  • Raw rice 2 cups
  • sugar 1 cup
  • White sesame seeds 2 teaspoon
  • coconut 1 cup
  • oil for frying

How to make Achappam

  1. Soak rice for 2 hours
  2. Grind rice, coconut and sugar to a smooth batter
  3. Add sesame seeds
  4. Add a pinch of salt
  5. The batter should be little thin than dosa batter consistency
  6. Using achappam maker make achappam
  7. First dip the maker in hot oil and then dip in the batter
  8. Then dip in the oil to fry it
  9. After 2 minutes shake the maker to release the achappam
  10. Flip the achappam and fry golden in both sides
