Ingredients to make Malabar ghee rice

  • Basmati rice 1 cup
  • water 1 3/4 cup
  • onion 2 number
  • ginger grated 1 table spoon
  • ghee 4 table spoon
  • cashew 10 number
  • cardamom 3 number
  • clove 3 number
  • cinnamon 1 piece
  • salt

How to make Malabar ghee rice

  1. 1 ONION SLICED, CARDAMOM, CLOVE, CINNAMON
  2. IN A COOKER ADD 2 TABLE SPOON GHEE AND SAUTE ONION AND SPICES ADD GRATED GINGER AND SAUTE
  3. ADD SOAKED RICE AND SAUTE FOR 3 MINUTES
  4. ADD BOILING WATER
  5. ADD SALT AND MIX
  6. CLOSE COOKER WITH WASHER ON THE LID AND REMOVE WHISTLE. COOK FOR 7 MINUTES
  7. IN A PAN ADD 1 TABLE SPOON GHEE
  8. ROAST CASHEW
  9. ADD GHEE AND ONION SLICES AND FRY
  10. FRY TILL BROWN
  11. OPEN COOKER AFTER 15 MINUTES
  12. MIX WITH FORK ONLY
  13. GARNISH WITH FRIED CASHEWS AND ONION
