Cheese wrapped Shrimp Balls

Ingredients to make Cheese wrapped Shrimp Balls

  • Shrimps - 5
  • Potatoe - 1 (large)
  • carrot - 1
  • vinegar - 2 tablespoon
  • pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
  • egg - 1
  • maida - 1/4 cup
  • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • Cheese Slices - 5
  • Chopped corriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - for frying

How to make Cheese wrapped Shrimp Balls

  1. Peel and devein the shrimps keeping the tails intact..
  2. Wash them and season with salt vinegar and pepper powder.
  3. Mash the cooked potatoes and carrot.. add chilli powder, corn flour pepper powder, half amount of beaten egg, salt and chopped corriander leaves into the potato mixture and mix well.
  4. Divide the potato mixture into five equal sized balls.
  5. Wrap the shrimps with cheese slices..
  6. Flaten each balls and place one shrimp on it.. Roll the ball closing the shrimp with the tip of its tail peeping out..
  7. Prepare all the potato balls similarly..
  8. Take maida in a bowl add water to it and mix them to a smooth paste..
  9. Now dip the shrimp balls in flour paste then with bread crumbs.. following this procedure twice for each shrimp balls.
  10. Keep them refrigerated for ten minutes..
  11. Heat enough oil in a pan and fry shrimp balls until golden brown.
  12. Take them out on a paper towel and serve hot with your favourite ketchup.

My Tip:

You can even dip the shrimp balls in beaten egg instead of maida batter..
