About Falhaari Choupsey Recipe

An American Chinese dish given Indian flavour which is quiet healthy and could be consumed in fasts and that's why a perfect treat for Navratri's. It's singhade(water chestnuts) flour noodles combined with Guvava sauce. The veggies used in the original choupsey sauce are given a replacement with fruits like apple, guvava, nag(pears).

Falhaari Choupsey

Ingredients to make Falhaari Choupsey

  • For noodles-
  • Singhada(water chestnut) flour, 1 bowl
  • potato, 1, boiled and grated
  • Sendha salt, to taste
  • water, as required to prepare soft dough
  • oil, for frying
  • For preparing sauce-
  • Guvava, 1, diced
  • lemon juice, 2tsp
  • Green chilli, 2
  • cumin seeds, 1/4tsp
  • Sendha salt to taste
  • ginger, 1/2inch
  • apple, Nag(pears), Guvava, 1/2 cup sliced

How to make Falhaari Choupsey

  1. Take singhada flour and add grated potato, sendha salt and water and prepare a dough.
  2. Dough should not be very tight.
  3. Take a deep pan and add oil and let it heat for frying.
  4. Now take a noodle maker or sev maker and put the dough inside it.
  5. With the help of noodle maker drop directly into hot oil and deep fry the noodles.
  6. Keep the noodles aside.
  7. Now let's prepare the sauce.
  8. Take a grinder and add guvava, ginger, lemon juice, sendha salt, cumin seeds, green chilli and grind them to paste.
  9. You can add water too if required for desired consistency of sauce.
  10. Now take the sauce out in a bowl and add the sliced fruits into it.
  11. Now take a serving dish and add the noodles, pour the prepared sauce over it.
  12. Enjoy the yummy healthy fast special choupsey.
