Ingredients to make Gur Dalia

  • wheat Dalia - 2 cups
  • jaggery - 100 gms (according to the sweetness you want)
  • almonds - 7-8
  • raisins - 1/4 cups
  • Dried coconut - 1 inch piece
  • Canola oil - 2 -3 tbsp

How to make Gur Dalia

  1. Take a cooker and put 3 tbsp of canola oil in it and let it be heated on a low flame.
  2. Chop the almonds, raisins and coconut finely. Keep aside.
  3. Now add the dalia in it and let it roast on a low flame while continuously stirring.
  4. Alongside, take a pan and fill it with 6 cups of water and let it boil, then add the jaggery in it .
  5. Also keep stirring the dalia until it turns into a light golden color. Now add the chopped dry fruits and coconut in it.
  6. Next, pour in the jaggery water slowly into the dahlia mixture, mix it well and cover the cooker with its lid.
  7. Let it whistle 3-4 times.
  8. After the pressure ends, open the lid and check if the water is soaked. Then let it cool for some time and if water is still there then let it cook till one more whistle blows.
  9. Serve it in a bowl with a cup of tea.
