About Kaju katli Recipe

This is prepared with cashew powder, sugar, rose water and saffron.

Kaju katli

Ingredients to make Kaju katli

  • cashew powder 125 gm
  • sugar 75 gm
  • water 50 gm
  • A pinch of saffron
  • Rose water 2-3 drops
  • ghee 1/2 tsp
  • Silver vark

How to make Kaju katli

  1. Soak the saffron strends in luke warm water.
  2. In a pan add water, sugar and saffron water. Let it boil on a low flame until you get two thread consistency, then turn off the gas.
  3. Add cashew powder, rose water and stir continuously until it looks like a dough.
  4. Place this cashew dough on a greased butter paper and cover it with another greased butter paper. Now roll it into a thin sheet.
  5. Rub this sheet with a small piece of butter paper to smoothen the surface.
  6. Apply the silver vark after one minute and cut into diamond shapes to serve.

My Tip:

Cashews should be of room temperature. Don't over grind the cashew.
