ABOUT Coconut Ladoos RECIPE

This is a quick and easy recipe. I have a toddler with me and it is needless to say that time is an important factor. I made this for Ganesh Chaturthi and it was loved by all.

Ingredients Serving: 15

  1. 2 cups of shredded desiccated Coconut + about 2 tbsp keep aside
  2. 1 cup condensed milk
  3. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  4. 2 tbsp dry fruits (Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios), made into a coarse powder

Instructions

  1. Place the wok on the burner, add 2 cups of shredded coconut. Keep stirring until it starts turning slightly brown. Do not burn it. Now turn off the burner and remove the wok from the burner.
  2. Now add condensed milk, blend it really well with a spatula. Add the cardamom powder and the dry fruits, give it a good mix.
  3. Remove the above mixture and place it on a plate. Allow it to slightly cool down.
  4. Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it between both palms, give it a round shape. Now roll these on the loose shredded coconut powder. (The above mixture will make about 20 ladoos.)
  5. The prasad for Ganesh Chaturthi is ready!
