Ingredients to make Msharashtrian pitla

  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 4-5 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 Tsp cumin seed
  • salt to teast
  • coriander chopped
  • Pinch of asfoetidia
  • 2-3 teaspoon oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 cup water

How to make Msharashtrian pitla

  1. TAKE GRAM FLOUR IN A MIXING BOWL ADD 1 1/2 CUP OF WATER AND MIX WELL TO REMOVE ANY LAMPS
  2. HEAT OIL IN KADHAI
  3. WHEN OIL IS HOT ADD CUMIN SEED AND CHOPPED ONION
  4. ADD FINELY CHOPPED GARLIC AND GREEN CHILLIES AND LET IT FRY
  5. ADD CUMIN POWDER, CORIANDER POWDER AND TURMERIC POWDER MIX WELL
  6. ADD CHOPPED TOMATO AND MIX WELL
  7. ADD LITTLE SALT TO IT
  8. ADD GRAM FLOUR MIXTURE MIX WELL AND COOK ON MEDIUM
  9. ADD LITTLE WATER AND ADJUST THE CONSISTENCY AS PER YOUR REQUIREMENT
  10. KEEP MIXING THE BATTER CONTINUOUSLY
  11. COVER THE KADHAI AND LIT COOK FOR 3-4 MINUTES
  12. STIR IN BETWEEN WHEN MIXTURE TURNS THICK SWITH OF THE HEAT
