Moong dal halwa

Ingredients to make Moong dal halwa

  • moong dal- one cup
  • jaggery- half cup
  • ghee- 8 tsps
  • cardamom powder- little
  • Badams- chopped a few

How to make Moong dal halwa

  1. First cook moong dal in a cooker with 4 whistles
  2. Boil jaggery and strain and keep aside
  3. In a kadayi add jaggery water once it starts boiling add mashed moong dal and mix well
  4. Add ghee and keep stirring till it becomes a semi solid.
  5. Chop badams and garnish..Add the rest of the ghee and cardamom powder
  6. Serve

My Tip:

Moong dal should be cooked very well
