ABOUT SESAME BALLS / ELLU URANDAI RECIPE

The recipe is so simple that all you need is to dry roast , grind and make it to balls.Sesame is very good for women's health and it has good proteins for kids health

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Sesame seeds / Ellu – 1/2 cup.
  2. Jaggery (powdered) – 1/2 cup.
  3. Groundnut / peanuts– 2 tsp.
  4. Roasted channa dal / – 2 tsp.
  5. Ghee – 2 tsp.

Instructions

  1. Dry roast sesame in low heat till it starts spluttering.Same way dry roast groundnut , channa dal to golden brown.Let the ingredients cool down to room temperature.
  2. In your food processor grind sesame , groundnut , channa dal together to fine powder ( even little coarse powder is ok too).
  3. Finally add jaggery to above mixture and pulse once or twice till jaggery grounds to fine powder and mixes with nuts.
  4. Heat ghee in a wide pan and add above mixture , mix gently till they form mass.When the mixture reaches ball consistency remove from flame.
  5. If still you are not able to make balls out of it then add few tsp of hot milk and mix quickly .
  6. 6.Then grease your hands with a drop of ghee and make medium sized balls and enjoy.
