ABOUT Kibbeh RECIPE

A middle east recipe.A fried tasty snacks made with goat mince and dry mint leaves inhance taste of this.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For Coating,200 grm wheat bulgur
  2. 200 grm ground mince
  3. 1 tsp curry powder
  4. 1 tsp cumin powder
  5. 1 medium size onion chopped
  6. Salt to taste
  7. For stuffing,1 meduin size onion chopped
  8. 150 grm ground mince
  9. 3 garlic cloves chopped
  10. 1 tsp Cumin powder
  11. 1/2 tsp curry powder
  12. 1 tsp dried mint powder
  13. 3/4 tsp black pepper powder
  14. 1 tbsp pine nuts or chopped almond
  15. Salt as taste
  16. Vegetable oil for cooking and frying

Instructions

  1. Take bulgur in a bowl add 1/4 cup water and cover it and keep aside it for 15 minutes
  2. After 15 minutes add curry powder,cumin powder,salt and chopped onion in this and transfer in a mixer jar, grind it and transfer in a bowl,now add ground mince in it and mix well
  3. Now cover the bowl and keep it in fridge for 15 to 20 minutes
  4. For stuffing,heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add chopped onion,when translucent add minced garlic,curry powder,black pepper powder, cumin powder and nuts and mix well
  5. Now add ground mince and salt in it mix well cover it and cook it for 10 minutes or till cook when done switch of gas and keep aside this
  6. Now add dry mint leaves powder in it and mix
  7. Now take chilled water rub on palm take a amount of bulgur and mince mixture,make hollow cup,place stuffing in center,cover it nicely from all sides,make all kibbeh patties like this
  8. Now heat oil in pan and deep fry this patties till light brown in colour
  9. Fry all patties like this and keep on paper to remove excess oil
  10. Now serve this prepare hot Kibbeh with green chutney and khajoor chutney for more taste
